Technical information is easy to misplace.
Formulas fade, nuance forgotten…
Why can’t it all just stay put?
This question has led me down both extremely painful but extremely meaningful roads.
From macro to micro, understanding the bigger picture, the core concepts, is essential.
But It’s when we connect those macro concepts to the micro details, the nuances, that everything truly clicks.
Topics that seem endlessly deep begin with foundational ideas, that if internalized, rehearsed and repeated support a lasting connection of a deeper understanding.
It took me a very long time to understand this concept fully, especially in this age of abundant information.
I used to consume everything I could get my hands on without ever taking the time to learn principles that held the foundation in place.
And in some ways, I had to pay dearly for this.
True learning requires failure and the clarity to see those failures as lessons to learn from.
Early in my journey, I saw how easy it was to learn from the mistakes of others.
Learning the same lessons without having to subject myself to the same levels of pain, regret and reordering that life's lessons seem to force.
Because of those insights as well as some of my own failures and reorderings in life, I have also taken responsibility for building and solidifying the mind I want to carry forward in this life.
This has led me down a path of introspection that has helped me shed light on the concept of self but even more potently helped me make some of my early ambitions real.
I’m creating this to share the kind of information I wish I had when I started.
I want to share my ideas around some of my favorite topics like :
audio engineering and production
the science of audio and sound
productivity and self-management
self-mastery and development
thinking in systems
spirituality
I hope this adds value to your life and leaves behind a meaningful legacy for me in that it makes a difference for those who share these curiosities, strive toward their true aspirations, and are willing to become the people they need to be to achieve their goals.
Initially, I plan to share two posts each week, covering a wide range of topics while focusing on providing consistent value to you.
I'm looking forward to sharing this journey, and the lessons learned along the way, with you.
